Trust Without Reason (Poem)

He asked his father,

What can I do?

It feels like check mate,

I’ve tried everything,

I feel as though,

The weight on my shoulders

Is crippling me now.

Do I lay down?

And let the current sweep me away?

And allow the weight of the tide

To pull me down?

He said to his son,

What is unwavering faith and boldness

And persevering despite doubt?

The son replied I don’t know.

His father replied,

It’s to not know,

And still believe, despite reason.

It’s to say, I don’t understand,

But father I know you have a way,

And I won’t stop nagging,

Until my promise is fulfilled,

And my mission is complete.

Politics and Contemplation (Poem)

Politics.

We don’t understand the concept of it all.

We’ll reject it or embrace it,

With nothing but a smirk on our lips.

Everyone is an enemy,

Or so we’re taught

To behave this way.

Bashing each other,

To win some contest

Of better or not.

We create havoc among each other,

Without a means to an end.

We insult, criticize,

Based solely on appearance.

We rather have the master,

That speaks tongues

And embraces himself in vain.

We choose him rather than

True values at stake.

We choose him because he’s a man,

Underestimating every women in the world.

We don’t understand the true meaning of politics.

What it can do for a nation.

We rather bash each other,

And blame,

Then contemplate our motives at stake.

True Meaning of Courage (Poem)

The most courageous of them all

Is the one

Who declares his faith,

Despite appearance

Contradicting his faith.

The one who perseveres,

Despite reality pushing him down.

He seeks compassion,

Despite the cruelty

Imprinted in the world.

The most courageous of them all,

Is the one who declares I can,

Despite inferiority sneaking up.

The one who never gave in,

Or forgot who he was

And where he came from.

The most courageous one, is the one

Who got up,

Despite the pile of brick on his back.

He remained steadfast,

Despite the world shaking him up.

He seeks enlightenment,

Despite the darkness in the world.

He’s the enlightened one,

Who speaks it into being,

Then watches the universe

 Manifest it into being.

Always a victor,

And never underestimating

His own power.

Seeking Yourself First (Poem)

I met a girl,

Confused and afraid,

She had insecurities of her own,

The most beautiful woman I met,

Yet she couldn’t see it herself,

So she went looking elsewhere.

She was always looking for love,

In all the wrong places,

Thought she would meet a man,

Then all would fall into place.

She came in and out of her relationships,

Her dignity solely on her man,

And when she looked into her eyes,

She loathed herself,

And couldn’t say, I love you as you are.

She went looking for mr right,

None of them filled the void,

Man after man,

Only reinforced, what was lurking inside.

Then on one lonely Saturday,

Feeling confused and lost,

She went by the lake,

Wanting to be alone.

She said,

Out of mere frustrations!

God!

I’ve dated every man on this planet,

Yet I cannot find one, that loves me back,

Every guy treats me like trash.

God said, love is a reflection of who you are,

They only mirror your thoughts,

So next time, seek yourself,

And Mr right will only

Reaffirm how you felt.

The Front Door is Calling Me Again (Poem)

Though the back door seems fascinating but gloomy.

My senses feel pressured to walk through.

Trying to stand my ground but I pace,

As I contemplate and rehearse my old ways.

With the front door and back door

Next to my face.

One facing my heart and the other my senses.

In two worlds with one dominating my senses.

Entering the back door once again,

With my senses at the forefront again.

Contrast and trials knocking at my door,

Asking me to reunite with my soul.

The front door so far and distant in my mind,

Though so close so distant in my mind.

I know I’ll pull through once more,

In a moment that expands to the very core.

As I stand still on a thin white line,

Letting the journey sweep me from the tide.

On another trail with mountains to the sky,

As I enter the front,

And crush the back.

My destiny is calling me again.

Love and Lust (Poem)

One man had it all,

A wife to die for,

All the money a man could ask for.

Love irreplaceable,

That any man would ask for.

It felt stale,

As if it wasn’t enough,

Always looking for excitement and fun.

Temptation and lust kept on creeping his way.

As he was confused

Which path to take.

After thinking long and hard

Before taking the leap,

On a dead-end trail.

He couldn’t withstand

What was a stake,

For a one night stand,

And a true love break.

Fearlessly Face the Unknown (Poem)

There’s a whole world and vision in front of me now.

Behind remains status quo, and chains keeping me down.

Shall I dance with what lies in front of me now,

Or look up to the sky and depart.

Exhilaration is calling me,

From a stand of nothing

But my father’s hand.

Shall I leap away,

Or allow the chains to remain.

My limp causes me to stay

As I focus on my infirmities

And fear along the way.

What choice shall it be,

Let the fear take over?

Or fearlessly face the unknown?

Breaking Free From the Spider’s Web (Poem)

Stuck in a spider’s web,

Surrounded by the sticky silk.

Though I push and strain away,

The sticky silk forcibly remains.

The world is in my forefront view.

Behind remains the sticky silk,

My arms and legs stuck on it.

Another pull, another strain,

I know the creator will come through,

Like always.

As I seek myself through his loving eyes,

There’s nothing I cannot do,

From this dwelling place of divine.

There’s always the forefront view,

And the next step will land me there,

Next to him,

To another world free from silk,

The enemies and monsters

Remain in the rear view web.

As I break free of the sticky web,

And pull through to the front again,

What was once a fear,

Is now a gift,

As I dwell,

With the monsters in my bed.

Fearless and laughing,

At the horror I gave them.

Today the price seems fair,

To discover myself

Through the despicable web.

Sometimes you lose yourself,

To find yourself once again.

An unending journey,

To fine tune our gifts.

Until our mission is complete,

And our destiny fulfilled.

Opposites Work Together (Poem)

Opposites work together to bring stability

And reliability,

In each others hands.

Without opposites

Life remains

And doesn’t change.

For without opposites,

There’s no reference point,

And no platform,

To create ourselves anew,

And correlate.

Without change

There’s no expansion

And no creation

Only sameness.

The answer is to accept

The inevitable correlation,

To create ourselves anew

From the father’s hand.

And let others only reaffirm

Who we are,

Through cooperation

And opposites.

God’s Plan (Poem)

When you look within,

There’s a destiny and plan.

Of uphill, detour

All to the master plan.

For every journey there’s scavenged land,

Of delays, mountains and the victorious hand.

A journey through the mist and sand.

In a broken world and a perfect world,

A new world of different facets.

A world of greed and generous deeds.

A journey of steep hills,

Of fate and nights of agony,

Of triumph, falls, and breakthroughs.

It’s all a choice

As we smile and reminisce,

The journey of age.
