Seeking perfection, essentially, is saying the destination is more important than the journey. It can be described as going on vacation, and telling yourself, I can’t wait to check this vacation off my list. Is perfection ever achieved? How fun is perfection, and never having anything to work towards? Do you say, I can’t wait to achieve the exhilaration of perfection? Or do you say I can’t wait to dive in and explore and experiment? Sometimes, we have delays, detours, and surprises, but if we look deeply, they all lead us back to home. What is exhilaration? As I swim in the deep cold blue,
Beneath remains squids, sharks, stingrays
And 30 feet deep.Â
I stay focused on the sandy shore,
About 500 meters away,Â
As the current comes sweeping my way,
I gasp for air,Â
In these 10 feet waves,
From the shoreline grace,
Completely focused on my destiny,

Without mountains to shake us deep,
We are merely sheep wandering in the field,Â
Merely existing but not living,Â
On flat ground as we wonder around.Â
No opportunities to strive for,
No burning desire to reach for,

What can I do?

When you look within,
There’s a destiny and plan.

For Every Journey There Are Obstacles (Poem)
Out of depression and sadness,
Came a desire for peace and happiness.
Out of sickness came a desire for wellness.
Out of judgment came a desire for respect.
Out of challenges and adversities,
Came a desire for victory.
Out of all these obstacles, desires were born,
And without desire, there’s nothing to reach.
And without adversities,
There is no triumph.
And without it all,
There is no journey.
Life Requires Experience
Life requires experience and challenges to help us to grow as individuals and for the expansion of the universe. All individual growth is ultimately for everyone on this planet as we are all interconnected in one way or another. So many people fight against this simple notion asking themselves why they must face challenges and adversities.
When events and circumstances don’t unfold in our favour, we begin to hate or even despise our challenges rather than understand them for what they are. These obstacles may be uncomfortable, but if we simply pull through, they become building blocks and opportunities for growth and expansion.
We should acknowledge the very process that allows us to delve deeper into our spiritual evolution and the evolution of humanity. We cannot grow if we’re already standing in a state of completion or perfection. Why do we try so hard to achieve perfection rather than enjoy the journey?
The world is an experience and a creation by every individual on this planet. Life requires contrast and experience and even the uncomfortable events and circumstances create desire, uniqueness and ultimately a journey.
Choices and evolution cannot exist without contrast and challenges. In this time space reality nothing remains static and everything points us towards our evolution and the evolution of humanity.
Completion and perfection doesn’t require experience, learning or remembering. This may be why every single time we have life figured out, something happens to help us to delve deeper into our evolution.
Every time we achieve a goal or dream, we have a new endeavour to pursue. Because life requires experience, learning and remembering and it’s never completed as we are always on a march to a greater self and humanity.
The goal shouldn’t be to avoid challenges and adversities, it should be to avoid complacency and to focus on expansion for ourselves and the universe. Let’s stop dreading our adversities and challenges and see them for what they are, a stepping stone to a greater life and universe.
