Replace the word tests with lessons. A compassionate God doesn’t condemn or punish you. He has your best interests at heart. Whenever you feel as though there’s a barrier on your path, know that it’s a lesson to break free from the barrier, expand with it, and thrive.

Once you understand yourself—your weaknesses and flaws—you accept yourself. Once you accept yourself and walk in compassion, you teach others to do the same by your mere existence.

As long as you are the best version of yourself where you are with what you have, where does judgment have a place? How does a compassionate God not love you exactly as you are? There will be slips and falls, but when you allow those slips and falls to be teachers in a lost world, you become a light for others finding their path. Don’t seek perfection; seek to be the best you.

There is a benevolent universe, and there is also cruelty, chaos, and havoc. Within the benevolent universe, you’ll cross paths with good-hearted people and good intentions. You’ll embrace positivity, optimism, faith, and infinite possibilities. When you’re in sync with this universe, the cruelty, chaos, and havoc don’t hold you back. You become a beacon for those in dark times.

Reacting causes retaliation. Responding is reflecting before speaking, contemplating before acting, and choosing compassion over strife.

What else would a loving creator expect from you than to be your best where you are with what you have? Trust that uncertainty may come from time to time, and it doesn’t mean that you’ve veered off the path. Stay on the same pathway until the next chapter reveals itself to you. Let go of resistance, and know that you are exactly where you’re meant to be—a work in progress, on a journey of personal growth and transformation.

Don’t undermine those simple action steps, for inspired action has the power to heal a broken heart, release a burden, and bring a new awareness meant to be shared.

Allow everyone to have their own journey. There’s nothing wrong with influencing, but converting often causes rebellion or repulsion. Let them learn their life lessons. Every path is unique. Accept them while being there for advice, but sometimes what they need most is to run their own course.

Unconditional love says, “I have compassion for you despite our differences.” Unconditional love says, “I show kindness to the broken.” Unconditional love says, “I don’t care if you’re lost or afraid. I accept you as you are.” Compassion says, “This is your journey, and eventually you’ll find your way. When you do find your way, I will revel in your success.”

Instead of focusing on all the chaos, havoc, and cruelty on Earth, focus on the compassion that surrounds us. Focus on the kindness from a stranger. Focus on the abundance of today. You have two lenses: one sees all the ugly, and the other sees the beauty.
