Thought for Today

When you’re in a state of despair and confusion, ask yourself: how many times have you felt joy in the past? How many times have you had faith despite the odds against you? How many times have you had clarity and inner peace? When you’re in a state of despair and confusion, you often forget those times of great joy. These are the times you must remember. These are the reminders that you’ve been down this path before, and nevertheless, you thrived.

Thought for Today

Often people believe they must wait for an epiphany to change course. Although change is always possible and available, it’s much easier to alter the course when you’re not entangled in a pit of despair. Let this be your indicator that you can shift your path at any stage. Be aware that it’s much easier to make a detour in the very beginning.

Thought for Today

You may not be on the ideal path right now. Don’t let that sink you into a pit of despair. Don’t allow the confusion to overwhelm you, or the yearning to turn into mourning. This is your journey. You’ll realize one path leads to the next, and they were all orchestrated for your ultimate best. God always had your best interests at heart from the start.

God’s Compassion

Often, when it feels like life will never change, something on the horizon is manifesting without any evidence of it. If you give up, you’ll never know. If you persist with faith, you’ll find out that when nothing was happening, everything was happening. God loves you. Danny G.

Already Within You

Out of your darkest hours, you found relief from a mentor or teacher. You went to him in your deepest despair for answers to your adversities. Everything he taught you resonated with your very core. Everything he taught you was already within you waiting to be awakened. You just needed a reminder from your soul. Danny G.

The Reality You Create

You create your own despair by believing you cannot get out. You allowed pessimism to become you by believing it’s simply reality. Just like you can create pessimism and bitterness, you can also create  optimism and compassion. Switch from the negative voice in your head to believing all things are possible, and anything is within your reach. Danny G.

The Tide Swept Away to the Sea

When in pain or despair, do not perpetuate it by your incessant fear and dread. Accept it without focusing all your energy towards it. For whatever you do not fight or resist, eventually dissipates and drifts away, like the tide swept away to the sea. Danny G.

Your Journey to Success

At times fear and despair can blossom into something beautiful, if you simply stop fighting the storm and embrace the new. Embracing the new means letting your thoughts be, not condemning them or finding fault, but realizing it’s just a part of your journey to success. Embracing means being who you truly are and being the best you. Your only control is being the best version of you, so stop fighting, and allow the divine to work in your life and orchestrate it all for you, and humanity. Danny G.

Despair Made Me Stronger (Poem)

My deepest moments of despair,

Brought about my strength,

And perseverance and faith.

The moments I so wanted an escape,

Were the moments I prayed and praised

Despite the heartache.

The moments of despair

Reconciled me into appreciation.

It’s what pushed me to be grateful,

Despite the trash in my back pack.

This persistent wave of despair and depression,

Would knock me down

Aggressively without warning.

A constant cloud,

That would follow me

Just waiting to be poured on.

It’s my stiff upper lip,

My determination,

That pulled me through,

Despite my carry-on loaded with scrap.

Today I thank my despair,

Because in the end

It made me stronger,

Persistent,

And aggressively bold,

To not give in

Until my promise is fulfilled,

And I’m still standing,

Like a palm tree,

That bends, but never falls.

Be Moved by Compassion Not Anger

If you knew an individual was in despair, and you knew everything you said to this person would be detrimental for his well-being and safety, how careful would you be? How do you know the person you encounter is not in despair? Your rejection and mistreatment can be one of the many things that causes him to give up on life. Therefore, think before acting, and be moved by compassion, not judgment or anger. Danny G.Â
