One of the most powerful messages that’s been passed down is love your neighbor as you love yourself. What’s more important, compassion or not accepting a new system, not accepting contrast, or preaching this is the one and only way? Danny G.
Compassion Forgiveness and Empathy
Compassion, forgiveness and empathy is for your well being. Holding on to negative attachments only hinders your personal growth and success. Letting go can be described as releasing the shackles beneath your feet, because not letting go is keeping you from fulfilling your desires and dreams. Danny G.
A Mind At Ease
Be kind with yourself. Everyone falls from time to time, and everyone has setbacks from time to time. Compassion heals all wounds. Be grateful for your progress, and know a mind at ease can be at peace despite the chaos. Danny G.
Compassion and Empathy
Can you hurt enough to help humanity or a loved one? Or can you love enough to help humanity or a loved one? One can be victimized or sympathized, yet yield no solution. The other one will always lead to compassion and empathy. Let compassion and empathy lead the way, and don’t be the victim with no solution. Be the victor who is motivated by love, not victimization. Danny G.
Seeking Peace and Unity (Poem)
We don’t understand the impact of our words.
Our actions spit out prejudice and malice
Among others,
Through nothing but ancestry and culture,
And skin on our bones.
Nation after nation,
We create our own competition,
Seeking one way to live,
One truth to accept,
Altering the meaning of prophesies into lies.
We don’t understand the impact of our words.
Our words spit out racism and slurs,
Not considering the lives
We affect,
Through prejudice and conflict and war.
We create havoc among each other,
Sleep walking and bashing each other,
To win some contest of better or not.
Let’s not forget our core,
Our reason for being,
To live peacefully
As brothers and sisters,
Let’s not contradict through lies.
Seeing With Different Lenses
Some people won’t bother asking questions to understand someone, but if they would, perhaps this understanding would help them see the person and situation with different lenses. Maybe this understanding would allow them to see that everyone has a story, and a reason for who they are today. Maybe they would realize they were basing their observations on preconceived notions rather than facts. If they would simply reach out, their assumption may turn into understanding and compassion, not judging before knowing. Danny G.
