For Every Journey There Are Obstacles (Poem)

Out of depression and sadness,

Came a desire for peace and happiness.

Out of sickness came a desire for wellness.

Out of judgment came a desire for respect.

Out of challenges and adversities,

Came a desire for victory.

Out of all these obstacles, desires were born,

And without desire, there’s nothing to reach.

And without adversities,

There is no triumph.

And without it all,

There is no journey.

Disguise and Creation (Poem)

Your eyes are glimmering astray,

Your smile is faintly portrayed.

Perhaps you don’t realize,

The glim in your eye,

Because you’re so preoccupied,

On your illusionary world inside.

Whenever you enter into the world,

You play aloof and you act like a troop.

You never deal with the hidden,

Mistaken belief and truth.

Past is dead and gone,

No need to recollect all the wrongs.

Everyone has a history,

No need to recollect all the falls.

Identity is of your choosing,

Not from another who doesn’t know you.

Perception can always change,

When you look up and acknowledge today.

Allow the world to change you,

But don’t allow it to break you.

Get out of your head and relate to,

Contrast and appeal.

The paintbrush is in your hand,

To paint colourfully on the mountain,

And to catapult you to daylight.

Contrasting experience and appearance,

Humanity stirs within you a dream,

And molds within you your leap.

Outside your comfort and frailty,

Where reality constantly changes,

In a world of contrast and breakthrough,

Of unfulfilled dreams and awakening.

Let the stream guide your awakening,

Flow downstream, and not upstream.

Don’t allow the past to break you,

Too much weight in your carry-on,

Results in unsteadiness and wavering.

Live in the present, not resentment.

Create your calling and respect.

Power within always resides,

In the God up above, by your side.

The Rat Race (Poem)

Competition is your best friend.

Living in expense and luxury,

Buying expensive diamonds,

And toys you don’t use,

To convince others,

Of your value beneath insecurities.

You created your own competition,

Out of jealousy and greed,

To prove that you’re worthy,

You forgot what it means,

To live a life internally.

You’re so focused on the outside,

That you forgot the true meaning,

Of success and happiness,

Beneath true feelings.

Deep down, you’re scared and frail,

So you prove yourself,

Through things,

Toys and a diamond ring.

The bigger the truck,

The price tag on the front,

Creates the status.

A price on our very lives.

Why has luxury,

Reigned over debts.

Giving ourselves all sorts of stress.

To impress someone who doesn’t care.

Let’s focus on ourselves,

Through the infinite self.

Let the divine bring us light,

And peace amongst the darkest nights.

A presence,

That money, people or things cannot bring.

We’re all on a journey from upbringing,

Competing with ourselves,

For our own expansion,

The evolution of our soul.

There’s no competition,

Other than self-imposed.

The Law of Attraction in Motion (Sonnet)

The law of attraction can make or break you,

In a world of uphill and breakthrough.

Let honesty rule our sight,

As we break free of the treacherous light.

Let’s not allow pride to rule our soul,

By thinking merely of the world.

Let’s seek our inner treasure,

It contains our inner power.

And let our inner self shine,

Brighter than the bright-colored sky.

We know the law works by might,

As we don’t contradict despite.

Let’s not forget our core,

Where thoughts create our world.
