We analyze and judge people based on external and superficial matters that are irrelevant to who they are. We think we have someone figured out, yet we know nothing about their history, and reason for being. Let’s judge people on their inner self, not egotistical matters that doesn’t define who they are. The One Who Changed It All
There was a time when you depended on someone, a mentor of some sort, whom you relied on for everything. You went to him when you were in your darkest alleys, trying to find relief, out of mere frustrations and disarray. Everything he taught you made sense, and it resonated with your very core. Today, you’re on stable footing, but you still remember this very day. The day where you sought help out of mere confusion, and found relief. You still remember the man, as he was your own flesh and blood. Now you’re ok, you’ve got the tools, while you allow the current to sweep you away, and you remember with faith, appreciation, and astonishment, the one who changed it all on your darkest day. Be the Beacon
You have the power of influence to help your loved ones fulfill their destiny and dreams. The only control you’ll ever have over another is through the power of influence. Therefore, be a beacon for your loved ones to complete their mission and ultimately their destiny. Danny G.
An Angel Ignited my Path (Poem)
When the rock struck me sideways,
Lying face down,
Confused and afraid,
Couldn’t see the daylight.
Dazzled as to where to leap,
Or where to turn,
In my confused altered mind.
But you stood amongst it,
Never blamed,
Nor question,
My reason for being.
Falls, turns and detours
I sympathize the whys,
The reasons for my trial.
Drifting through the motions,
On autopilot senseless,
In utter despair.
You stood amongst it,
And saw potential,
When all I saw was judgment,
In my own eyes.
The future was pale,
My intentions scattered,
Through the wall,
With Uncertainties and doubts,
Filling my mind.
As I try to escape my thoughts,
Uncertain,
Of what path may be.
You never relinquished,
Or ceased to be,
Your very best to me.
Though the time has passed,
And those days didn’t last,
The push served me greatly,
The rest was history,
Of my own making.
And I’ll never forget,
When I’m old and wrinkly,
An angel from God,
Ignited my path,
And never ceased to be,
Her very best to me.
Seeing With Different Lenses
Some people won’t bother asking questions to understand someone, but if they would, perhaps this understanding would help them see the person and situation with different lenses. Maybe this understanding would allow them to see that everyone has a story, and a reason for who they are today. Maybe they would realize they were basing their observations on preconceived notions rather than facts. If they would simply reach out, their assumption may turn into understanding and compassion, not judging before knowing. Danny G.
Focus On You First
There’s nothing wrong with putting yourself first, since you cannot help others if you lose your alignment. How many people lose their balance if they do everything for others and they do nothing for themselves? People often become depressed if they neglect themselves in the process of trying to help or please everyone but themselves.
We need to keep a balance and do those things which allow us to be healthy physically, mentally and spiritually. Sometimes all that’s needed is a little time to unwind doing something that relieves stress and brings joy.
Stress is the number one factor in creating disease, so wouldn’t spending time unwinding be logical to remain healthy? Exhaustion is another reason people develop health conditions. Sometimes all that’s needed is more time distracting ourselves from everyday problems. How many people can you help if you’re not in alignment? And how much assistance can you be if you’re not in alignment?
You’ve been programmed to believe that sacrificing your happiness is the correct way to live, and the noble thing to do. You’ve been programmed to believe life is about helping and pleasing everyone but you. You’ve been pressuring yourself to believe there’s only one way to live.
Think a different thought such as how many people can I help if I am in alignment? You keep your balance by being spiritually connected since you’re a spiritual being who needs to remain connected to its source.
You remain healthy and ready to tackle your problems by keeping a healthy lifestyle through diet, exercise, and sleep. Most important it’s by being spiritually connected through meditation or prayer, or anything that allows us to connect to ourselves on a spiritual level.
Why have we concluded the noble thing to do is sacrifice our happiness for others? I understand there is a level of sacrifice that we should do for others, however, there is also balance. I understand many people have traumatic events in their lives with their loved ones, and they need to put more time and energy for their family or friends sake. But don’t make the mistake of neglecting balance, since there is always a little bit of time we can reserve for ourselves to recharge the battery, and live more meaningfully.
We have no control over others other than the influence we give them through the clarity of our example. We can pray for them, we can teach them, but ultimately it’s their life and choices. Focus on you first and then you’ll be in a much better place to make a difference in the world and in the lives of your loved ones.
A Simple Act of Kindness
Everything we say and do affects those around us and changes the world one deed at a time. From the tiniest gesture of giving a homeless man a 10 dollar bill to giving a speech to millions of people on the love and power of God.
Giving a homeless man a 10 dollar bill not only gives him a lunch but this act of kindness changes his outlook on life. People that are homeless often feel rejected or overlooked by society for fear of mental illness or other factors.
A simple act of kindness changes their outlook on life and reminds them, there are compassionate people out there who are willing to help.
Simply sharing your story with them about how you overcame financial hardships or teaching them about the power of faith in overcoming obstacles is enough to show you care. It’s also enough to change their perspective about the world, humanity and their hope for the future.
Whether they receive your message or not, any act of kindness can remind someone, this is a compassionate universe and there is a God looking after the lonely and oppressed.
The person you reached out to has a new perspective and therefore he or she speaks about it to others, perhaps someone who is seeking enlightenment and who shares the same struggles, or past.
We are an extension of God from a source of love, so essentially, we are all one. By helping one fellow human being, you just helped yourself, because we are all interconnected, and we’re all made up of the same energy that creates worlds.
Any act of love feels joyous and satisfying, and the deed gives us satisfaction that we made a difference in another person’s life. By helping one individual you help everyone who’s connected to this individual’s life, and anyone he encounters in his pursuit for change.
If reaching out does nothing but put a smile on your face, then you will be living what every so called master taught you and the world, which is to live a life based on the principle of compassion and happiness.
So my advice is to contemplate your words and actions and know that you are a guiding light in a troubled world. Be aware of the simplicity of a kind word and gesture and keep in mind, the deed doesn’t have to be much to make a difference and to create a change for a brighter humanity!
