This moment of sadness or grief doesn’t define you. It’s merely your emotions on this very moment. Every moment is impermanent. Don’t allow this moment to define you. Be a leader, be a motivator, be the inspiration who kept going despite it all. Danny G.
Allow It To Teach You
Instead of allowing the failure to sink you down into sadness, allow it to teach you. The failure is meant to teach you what you need for success. You need to learn how to turn the failure into a triumph. You do so with optimism and faith. You do so with persistence. Listen within and you’ll realize that failure was just one stepping stone onto your victory. Danny G.
Seeking Inward
As I remembered my youth, I’d feel sadness. I came to see a disguise, but with a kind and loving heart. That loving heart never seized to be, but illness plagued me for many years to follow. I then said I love you despite the sickness that lingered time and time again. I realized seeking inward and loving oneself should be our true source and calling. Danny G.
It’s Never Indefinite
Give yourself a breath every once in a while. It’s ok to be still and ponder in the wilderness. It’s ok to feel sad at times beyond reason. It’s ok to feel grief at times that seems to never cease. The only mistake is never moving beyond them. The only mistake is not learning and growing from them. Feel it, then move on and be the best version of you. Danny G.
Changing Your Inner Dialogue
The mind is capable of creating any type of emotion. If the mind is capable of creating sadness, misery and heartache, the mind is capable of achieving joy, excitement and enthusiasm. Talk yourself into it and create your own motivation until you feel it in the depth of your soul. Change your inner dialogue, don’t fall prey to it, and say I will overcome and thrive. Danny G.
Personal Transformation
Sadness can lead to transformation if you let it. Every negative emotion can be subject to change when you allow it. At times, it’s the absence of joy, that stimulates its opposite. Other times, it’s our yearning for greater joy that stimulates more joy. Every emotion has an opposite, and when we feel the negative emotion without condemning it, we allow it to subside without fighting against it. In time with faith, it vanishes, and we use the negative for personal transformation, and success. Danny G.
Savor It
Moments pass, and years accumulate,
Into a world we once perceived.
Nevertheless, it’s all creation
As though an artist paints and moves the clay.
We stand still, in silence,
We can hear the music play,
The music plays in harmony
Of the present, past,
Smudges of paint
And some a masterpiece.
Some moments vanish,
But memories still remain,
As we contemplate
Those distant memories again.
Some brings joy,
And some sadness,
Always lessons and wisdom
Contained within.
Let’s sit here, appreciate
What it brought the journey within.
But let’s never forget
To savor it all,
And that includes the gift of today. Danny G.
Time Heals Everything
Life is an experience, some moments are great, some sad, and some we wish we can relive again. If we can simply see ourselves five years from now, we’d realize what we thought we would never accept and let go, we are now smiling in appreciation and gratitude. At that moment we realize time heals everything if we simply let it be. Danny G.
Despair Made Me Stronger (Poem)
My deepest moments of despair,
Brought about my strength,
And perseverance and faith.
The moments I so wanted an escape,
Were the moments I prayed and praised
Despite the heartache.
The moments of despair
Reconciled me into appreciation.
It’s what pushed me to be grateful,
Despite the trash in my back pack.
This persistent wave of despair and depression,
Would knock me down
Aggressively without warning.
A constant cloud,
That would follow me
Just waiting to be poured on.
It’s my stiff upper lip,
My determination,
That pulled me through,
Despite my carry-on loaded with scrap.
Today I thank my despair,
Because in the end
It made me stronger,
Persistent,
And aggressively bold,
To not give in
Until my promise is fulfilled,
And I’m still standing,
Like a palm tree,
That bends, but never falls.
